An Elementalist channels the elements themselves, the innate building blocks of reality, conjuring, creating or manipulating them. Some detractors consider it more of an insane addiction than a scientific profession, but the Elementalists themselves speak of the intense focus and understanding of their art that is required. Still, even the most devoted of Elementalists admit their desire to push magic farther and harder that burns in their minds and bodies.

  • Overcasting - Double mana cost of base spell
    Elementalists may overcast their magic to increase its base damage and in some cases give it a secondary effect. Though there is a chance of backfiring, which can: Apply a Damage over time effect to the caster. Deal raw damage to the caster. Or it can Debuff the caster.
    "The addiction to the manipulation of mana and the elements draws elementalists to push themselves to more and more dangerous limits."
  • Overload - 40 or 80 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals magic damage based on the number of elementalist debuffs on the target. If cast on a wet target, deals increased damage and consumes the debuff. If overcasted deals further increased based damage and consumes the debuff. If cast on a singed target, consumes the debuff and applies a medium Damage Over Time effect. If overcast on a Singed target, consumes the debuff and applies a strong Damage over Time effect. If cast on a Chilled target, consumes the debuff and applies -1 to all stats as a debuff. If overcast on a chilled target, consumes the debuff and applies a -3 to all stats of the target. If cast on a rock strike'd target, consumes the debuff and reduces defenses
    "An elementalist does not so much tame the forces they toy with as ride the highs and lows and little embodies this as much as the absolute devastating high of this spell, pulling the elemental attunement of their target and enhancing it to a devastating level. Some, perhaps foolish Elementalists, are willing to even push this spell past its limits."
  • Ice Lance - 30 or 60 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    1-2 targets
    Deals medium magical damage, applies Chilled debuff to target (-5 Str/Dex). When overcast, add Singed (-3 Int/Wis/Chr).
    "Temperature is of great interest to an elementalist, its ability to wrack a body, to turn the water of a foe into a weapon against them, or when the freezing is extreme enough, seemingly burn their foe as a flame."
  • Flame Strike - 10 or 20 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals medium magical damage. Applies Singed debuff (-3 Wis/Int/Chr) to target. If overcast, buffs the caster with +5 Intelligence.
    "Flames are passion and emotion, as beautiful as they are mesmerizing. Few arts to an Elementalist embody the dangers and the wonders they are capable of as those manipulating fire. The literal rush of fire through the veins of the user has left many washed out elementalists cradling a fire, blinded, desperate for the warmth that they can no longer tap into."
  • Water Beam - 10 or 20 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals medium-low magical damage, Applies the Wet debuff effect. Can be overcasted for increased damage and a minor heal.
    "Most beings are made up heavily of water, and it is the simplest of all magical arts to manipulate. Unfortunately, it is still capable of backfiring when abused. The barrier between creating water and one's burning one's own blood is thin."
  • Dark Arts - 30 or 60 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals medium damage with a weak heal applied to caster. If overcasted, deals high damage with a medium heal applied to the caster.
    "One of the few arts of an elementalist that do not seem to directly manipulate an element--this is something of a misnomer however. It is actually manipulation of positive and negative energy, to directly sap energy from an opponent, to manipulate the element of life itself. The truth of this art is often hidden from the conservative, and it is a dangerous elementalist that finds their addiction in such a spell."
  • Magic Missile - No mana cost
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals Low magical damage to a target.
    "Manipulating raw magical force as a blunt instrument of destruction is not unique to the Elementalist, but they still utilize the simpler magical arts, charms and cantrips are fundamental to their art."
  • Rock Thrust - 20 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Deals Low magical damage to a target and applies Rock Strike. On a regular cast, this is a -5 debuff to defenses, on overcast it's -10.

  • Absorb Element - 20 mana
    Scales with Intelligence
    Single target
    Choose one element to channel. If fire, gain 30 mana immediately, as well as 30 stamina per turn for two more turns. If ice, gain 10 mana and 15 health, as well as 30 mana on the next turn. If earth, gain 20 mana, 5 hp, as well as 30 mana on the next turn.

    Provides a buff giving +10 defenses. Additionally, all attackers take 10 damage on successful attacks.
